The first day of June reminds me of the coming Summer and Sunny Days. June 1st is already here and the thought of Father’s Day on June 15th comes to mind early for the third Sunday of the month. In the 21st century, special days come up faster than we remember them while we are living
here and now. During 2014, all days come up sooner than before and the weeks fly on the time machine for the rest of the year. We are already living through the sixth month of the year 2014. It is a coincidence when family members share the same month for their birthday anniversaries. In our family, there is a June Family Birthday celebration for all family relatives who have been born
during this month.
The first Father’s Day was celebrated
in Spokane, Washington on June 19, 1910 by Mrs. Sonora Smart in honor of her
father, William Jackson Smart who had been a Civil War veteran and a single
parent of six children—since her Father’s birthday was on June 5, the daughter wanted to make a special birthday party for the occasion which was held on the third Sunday for the first Father’s Day in June 1910. For more than a century, the United States of America celebrates Father’s Day on the third Sunday in June.

My Father’s
83rd Memorial Birthday is on the first week on June 7th
since he was born in the year 1931 and lived during the 20th
century.
